The socioeconomic study scholarships aim to support students from families with fewer economic resources. The merit scholarships are intended to recognize and encourage academic excellence, valuing the school performance of students residing in the county.
For the 2026/2027 academic year, the municipality will award a total of 12 socioeconomic study scholarships, each with a unit value of 1,250 euros, and six merit scholarships, with a unit value of 500 euros. This municipal investment totals 18,000 euros.
Students enrolled and attending higher education courses (CTeSP, bachelor's, integrated master's, or master's) at public, private, or cooperative higher education institutions recognized by the Portuguese State are eligible to apply. A requirement is that candidates must have resided in the municipality of Serpa for at least three years.
