The Odemira school community celebrated the inauguration of the new EB1 School Library, a modern space dedicated to reading and student development.

The afternoon of September 30th marked the official opening of the new School Library at the Odemira Basic School. The event was attended by children from the Kindergarten and 1st Cycle, along with relevant institutional figures.
Among those present were the Mayor of Odemira, Hélder Guerreiro, the Intermunicipal Coordinator of School Libraries, Maria José Alves, and the President of the Administrative Commission of the Odemira School Group, Daniela Morado. The ceremony was a moment of celebration for the entire school community.
This new space, designed to foster exploration, discovery, and a love for reading among students, represents a municipal investment of approximately 150 thousand euros. The library is integrated into the Municipal and National Networks of School Libraries, strengthening the offering of resources for reading promotion and educational support.
On the same day, but in the morning, the Sabóia EB1 Library Point was also inaugurated, an initiative supported by the Municipality of Odemira.
