The municipality of Cuba is once again highlighting its senior population through the “Senior Month 2026” event. This annual initiative brings together a diverse set of activities focused on culture, sports, socialization, health, and well-being, aiming to foster interaction among participants.
The program's main objective is to recognize and celebrate the fundamental role seniors play in the municipality, valuing their experience, knowledge, and memories as essential collective heritage. The event seeks to create opportunities for meeting and sharing, encouraging active participation from the entire elderly population.
This year's program includes moments for reflection, informational sessions, adapted physical activities, intergenerational social events, and cultural offerings. Activities will be decentralized, covering all parishes within the municipality: Faro do Alentejo, Vila Alva, Vila Ruiva, and Albergaria dos Fusos.
The Municipality of Cuba will provide transportation for the various activities, in collaboration with the Parish Councils. Registration for the Social Action and Health Service is open at the municipal offices and Parish Councils.
Through this initiative, the Municipality reaffirms its commitment to promoting active aging and improving the quality of life, health, and well-being of its senior citizens.
