The Portuguese live music circuit OuTonalidades is back at the Cineteatro Alba next Thursday, October 1st. In the Café-Concerto Space, at 10:00 PM, the duo “dois, pois” will perform, with “naked music, raw and with bellows”.
Composed of an accordion and a drum kit, the duo explores rhythmic dialogues and conflicts, mediated by electronic music. Sónia Sobral and Gonçalo Garcia – “dois,pois” – interpret ideas from young Portuguese composers, such as Vasco Miranda and António Silva.
“dois,pois” is a creation of Orfeu – Associação Cultural, which premiered in 2020 and has already toured various venues in Portugal and Spain. This year, the duo released their first album “Disaccordion pulse”, produced by João Barradas and mastered by Mário Barreiros. The album explores contact zones between distinct sound universes.
