The venue for the 2026 Harvest Fair in Arouca now features 10 waste separation stations. These areas are designated for the disposal of plastic/metal packaging, glass, paper/cardboard, and organic waste, facilitating separation by visitors and participants.
Additionally, the number of general waste bins has been increased. Through these measures, the municipality aims to raise awareness for the promotion of good environmental practices, seeking to reduce the festival's impact on waste generation and management, and contribute to a cleaner, more cared-for space.
The Municipality of Arouca appeals for the cooperation of everyone – visitors, vendors, and participants – for the correct separation of waste, reminding that "A clean Arouca is everyone's responsibility."
