The Ribeira Grande Municipal Council presented the «Invest Ribeira Grande 2030» program to local entrepreneurs and economic agents, aiming to enhance the municipality's attractiveness for private investment.

The meeting, held at InWave – Local Business Incubator of Ribeira Grande, was attended by the Mayor, Jaime Vieira, and councilor Miguel Bernardo. The program seeks to stimulate business creation, promote urban revitalization, boost the Industrial Park, encourage skilled employment, and increase housing supply.
Structured around four axes — support for entrepreneurship, urban revitalization and housing, administrative simplification, and industrial and logistics development —, «Invest Ribeira Grande 2030» translates into seven specific measures. These include the Business Rental Support Program, offering up to 50% of the monthly rent for the first year, and the creation of the Ribeira Grande Investor Desk, a single point of contact for investors.
The program also includes Vouchers for Technical Projects to reduce initial costs, an Urban Rehabilitation Incentive Program for housing and commerce in the historic center, and the implementation of a Fast-Track Licensing system to streamline administrative procedures.
In industrial development, the expansion of the Industrial Park is planned, focusing on manufacturing, blue economy, agribusiness, logistics, and technology companies. The seventh measure addresses mobility and accessibility to the Industrial Park, with improvements in public transport, road access, and internal infrastructure.
Jaime Vieira emphasized the municipality's intention to take a more active role in creating favorable conditions for private investment. The meeting served to present the economic development vision and gather input from economic agents on the challenges and needs of the municipality, aiming to make it more competitive and attractive.
