The sessions were held at the Cultural and Congress Center of Angra do Heroísmo, as part of the European Week of Sport, and focused on crucial areas for the development of clubs and associations.
The initiative included modules on “Team Leadership”, led by Inês Vigário on the 26th, and “Marketing Strategy for Sports Clubs” and “Sports Organization Management”, both guided by José Carvalho on the 27th.
These actions were accredited by the Portuguese Sports Confederation, offering participants the opportunity to earn training credits and update essential knowledge for the sector.

It is necessary to know how to manage organizations, lead people, communicate better, and find new ways to attract and engage practitioners. We want the Municipality's support for sports to also involve creating opportunities to acquire knowledge and new tools, contributing to our organizations being increasingly prepared for the future."
The Vice-President of the Municipal Chamber of Angra do Heroísmo, Guido Teles, highlighted the importance of these training sessions, emphasizing that municipal support aims to equip sports organizations for future challenges, beyond sports practice itself.
The initiative covered leadership, communication, marketing, and management, areas complementary to training and sports practice, in a context of increasing demands on clubs and associations regarding management, participant recruitment, and sustainability.
Through this program, the Municipality of Angra do Heroísmo reinforces its commitment to municipal sports, promoting not only better practice conditions but also more structured and future-ready organizations.
